Holds a lot of experience in Accounting. She has coordinated accounting functions for the smooth running of accounts departments covering cashbooks, payroll, debtors, creditors, taxation, and other statutory body requirements. Kumwenda has also been involved in human resource issues relating to conduct and general conduct matters. She attended various courses such as the Management Course conducted by the Public Service, and the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators Training Programme in Ghana. She holds various positions at church including treasurer and organizing secretary.
